This project started in August 2022 as part of a music festival organised by Globale Musik Köln. Back then I was still on the percussion and was happy to switch to the drummer’s position.
The most exciting thing for me in this project is that I have to play and practise with odd rhythms for the first time. A mixture of danceable music, ethno-influenced jazz and Greek lyrics. The fans of this Greek music are always very unleashed in dancing and singing. An atmosphere that I only know from Latination.
The premiere with this line-up was in November 2023 as part of the 40th anniversary of the POP( ΠΟΠ – Initiativgruppe Griechische Kultur in der BRD e.V ) at Altes Pfandhaus in Cologne.
